How to arrange a collaboration with another streamer

How to arrange a collaboration with another streamer

A joint stream is easier to prepare when creators understand the goal, duration, and roles beforehand. Start with a small proposal that is easy to accept or decline.

Make a clear proposal

Choose a creator by content and communication style, not just viewer count. Watch a normal stream so you do not suggest an unsuitable format.

  1. Describe one idea: what you will do together and why viewers may enjoy it.
  2. Suggest a convenient time and approximate duration, allowing an alternative.
  3. Agree on roles: who leads the conversation, explains rules, and handles technical issues.
  4. Before announcing it, discuss topic boundaries, recording, clip use, and how to communicate if something goes wrong.

Respect refusals and boundaries

Do not introduce yourself by spamming chat or asking viewers to pressure the creator. No response does not mean consent. A small shared task is enough for a first collaboration.

Agreements matter more than improvised promises. Do not announce a stream on the other creator’s behalf before confirmation.

Check the plan together

  • Both creators understand the format and timing in the same way.
  • The connection is tested beforehand.
  • There is a clear way to pause or end the stream.

Afterward, discuss specific moments: what worked, when you talked over each other, and what to change. Decide together whether to collaborate again without promising guaranteed growth.
